Companies in Malaysia (45%) lagged slightly in delivering total well-being initiatives for all their employees, as compared to Asia (48%). Only 21% of Companies in Malaysia (versus an Asia average of 26%) have provided on-demand access to virtual mental healthcare. On the flipside, Malaysia (18%) fared better than Asia (14%) in investing in financial wellness programs that boost long-term financial security for their employees. Audit firms' employees are struggling to cope with their mental well-being while at the same time maintaining a high standard of work that they are doing. Existing well-being programs in audit firms are seemingly tedious and give stress, according to our preliminary findings. We suggest friendly apps that can help the employees to release their stress levels and cope with their current problems with well-being. Headspan is a digital application that is designed to ensure audit firms' employees are in the right mind before doing their work. It is filled with meditation and breathing exercises that would tackle the mental well-being of an employee. Headspan is able to reduce stress levels, enhance focus and attentiveness and improve psychological well-being.
