A system for removing water content from an oil phase comprising a first chamber for receiving the oil phase which is being sprayed into droplet form under reduced air pressure; a first heater arranged in the first chamber to heat the received oil phase and vaporize the water content into water vapour; a first oil outlet for discharging the collected oil phase; and a first vapour outlet on the first chamber to discharge the vapour, characterized in that the sprayed oil droplets are subjected to pass through a first surface area increasing means for enhancing vaporization of the water content, wherein, the first surface area increasing means separates larger oil droplets into smaller oil droplets, such that it maximizes a contact surface area of the sprayed oil droplets for a higher rate of evaporation.
