The present invention discloses an incinerator for disposing of a shredded Quranic document comprises: a cylindrical combustion chamber with an opening at its top and a generally frustoconical section at its bottom end; a slot beneath the frustoconical section for receiving a detachable collector for collecting and removing the ash from the combustion chamber a detachable chimney fitted 10 onto the top opening of the combustion chamber with a filter disposed between the chimney and the combustion chamber an inlet at the lower end section of the combustion chamber extending generally tangentially into the combustion chamber , connected to an inlet pipe for introducing cyclonic flow of air into the combustion chamber ; an second pipe intersecting the 15 inlet pipe and having a feed hopper for feeding the shredded Quranic document into the inlet pipe and thence into the combustion chamber assisted by the airflow of the inlet pipe ; and an ignition means within the combustion chamber for igniting the shredded Quranic document in the combustion chamber ; characterised in that the contacting surfaces of the elements of the incinerator 20 are air tight and dust tight so that only ash free air escapes from the incinerator through the chimney .
