Highlights
The demand for dry food and herbs is very high in the country. Most dried foods and herbs are exposed to bacteria during the drying process. To ensure the safety of dry food and herbs from being exposed to bacteria a heat house is needed. The Rumah Haba IKBN Pekan (RAHIN) innovation project was created to dry food and herbs. The objective of RAHIN is to prevent food and herbs from being exposed to bacteria that can cause contamination. RAHIN functions by using Industry 4.0 technology is to monitor, control and store harvest data. The results obtained after the creation of RAHIN can improve the quality of food and dried herbs by 60% and reduce labor by 40%. In conclusion, with the result of RAHIN, it gives added value to farmers in drying food and herbs.
