Description
A method of fabricating photovoltaic cells with tunable open circuit voltage is provided, the method includes the steps of patterning conductive material into a desired pattern, patterning a layer of dielectric on to electrode gate, such that photoactive materials are covered while exposing electrical contacts, building an interdigitated anode on the layer of dielectric and depositing photovoltaic materials to build cathode layer, wherein, applied gate voltage enhances organic photovoltaics efficiency by increasing the gate voltage.
