Description

The present invention discloses an assembly for monitoring a civil engineering structure with respect to a dynamic load induced by excitation of a seismic load in a real-time manner. The assembly comprises a sensor node comprising a three-dimensional, 3D, mass-rubber member having a steel mass suspended in a polygonal rubber body and a plurality of wireless strain gauges deployed on side surfaces of the polygonal rubber body, an analog-to-digital converter, a microcontroller and a remote processing engine. The remote processing engine is configured for generating a real-time seismogram and a real-time accelerogram associated with the dynamic load detected by way of vibration along the said spatial axes based on processed digital signals.
