Description
Currently, the traditional door latches and locks are being replaces by magnetically operated locking systems especially for front desk hospitality. This system is widely used as it is simple in operation and installation. Hence, this type requires continuous power supply to hold the door intact to its door frame and consumes high current for the whole day. On the other hand, in case of power failure, this system will become useless and cannot be operated. Therefore manual locks are being dependable as a counter measures are concern. therefore, an innovative and energy saving door locking system has been developed to overcome the demerits of the existing magnetically operated door locks. This design requires no power supply to lock or hold the door and yet it is stronger, simple in principal and very much cheaper as compared to the above. This system will enable the door to be locked automatically without any form of power supply therefore, power failure is not a problem at all. This system has been proven to be 60% cheaper in product cost and 90% cheaper in operation as compared to the widely used magnetic locking types. Thus, the potential of accessing the market for commercialization is expected to be excellent as it is applicable to most of the locking conditions.
