Description
The present invention disclosed a method to enhance the efficiency of the fluorescent yellow organic light emitting diode, OLED by treating the interface of emissive layer and cathode layer of the OLED with a fluorinated alcohol with the IUPAC name of 2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5-Octafluoro-1-pentanol. These fluorinated alcohol layer forms an interface dipole and reduces the electron injection barrier between the cathode and the emissive layer. This will improve the electron injection by cathode to the emissive layer and improved the performance of the OLED.
