Lighting accounts for 20 percent of all electrical energy usage. However, much of this energy is wasted due to the lighting up of unoccupied rooms and buildings. The main culprits are human beings who tend to forget to switch off the light when they leave a room or place. The SLiCS can be easily installed into the existing lighting system with minimum modification. However, any additional time and cost required to install the SLiCS will soon be compensated by the low electricity bill being enjoyed.
