The present invention discloses an adjustable buttstock for a sniper rifle. The adjustable buttstock comprises a rifle butt, a firer safety member adjustably mounted to the rifle butt and a fastening means for securing the firer safety member to the rifle butt at a predetermined point along the second portion of the rifle butt. The firer safety member comprises an elongated main body extending from one opposing end to another opposing end along a first portion of the rifle butt , a longitudinal body (202) integrally formed with the elongated main body (201) extending from the one opposing end of the elongated main body (201) along a second portion of the rifle butt (100), and a face cover member (203) extending outwardly at a right angle from the another opposing end of the elongated main body (201). The face cover member (203) comprises a protection panel having a width projected in a direction perpendicular to the elongated main body (201) and along the longitudinal body (202).
