The present invention discloses a blast shield for undercarriage of an armored vehicle for blast mitigation. The blast shield comprises a hull plate having an inner surface and outer surface, wherein the inner surface mounting onto the undercarriage, and the outer surface comprising a plurality of V-shaped bar and a plurality of perforated strips, wherein the V-shaped bar and the plurality of perforated strips are arranged vertically in alternate position along longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
