Water is the most important source during the survival and military missions. During the emergency or war, Malaysia might not face difficulties in water because Malaysia is a one of the country that gets rainfall throughout the year and it has good river flows. But how clean is the water for them to drink during the survival condition? The field water supply system must be able to provide water for drinking and cooking. This type of system could be used in any location, regardless of the feed water quality, and function to provide potable water for a short-term situation. In this research a proper field water supply system was designed which will consider a good treatment and cost effective system to be used in Malaysian land and terrain. This study facilitates to produce a fundamental knowledge on the filtration system of chemical free water treatment system using dried “curcuma longa” which can be used during survival and military missions. The novelty is it used “curcuma longa” as antibacterial filter. The design is unique because it has container on top. It is easy and user friendly. It gives the opportunity to store filtered water into container. This unique filter can produce the clean water and drinkable water that can be used for survival and operational area especially in Malaysia.
