ual splitter plate is an anti vortex device (AVD) designed to suppress swirls and vortices formed near pump suction inlet. It is an improved design of a conventional floor splitter plate which consists of two plates instead of single plate. The design with double plate was proved to increase the effectiveness of a conventional floor splitter plate and it can also overcome the problem faced with a center splitter which has the problem of intensifying vorticity if the height is near to the pump inlet. With this invention, the problem can be overcome and the fabrication process of dual splitter plate is simpler than a center splitter.
