Technological advances in both networking and highly efficient perceptual audio coding like MPEG Layer-3 (MP3) and MPEG-2 AAC has indirectly enhanced music piracy. As well all known piracy activity has become the number one threat to the music industry especially when portable MP3 player has become more popular. Despite the bad side of the technology, it exist a challenge to enable music/movies distribution via the Internet while ensuring proper honoring of all Intellectual Property Rights associated with the delivered content. DACoP is developed with the purpose of protecting the copyright of any digital audio production through Digital Watermarking and Cryptography.
