The present invention provides a method of detection of dengue virus antibodies in vitro in a sample taken from the patient, comprising the following steps: a) immobilizing of antigens of all four dengue virus serotypes (serotype 1, serotype 2, serotype 3, serotype 4) on an SPR biochip, b) inserting the SPR biochip with immobilized antigens into an SPR measurement device, c) injecting the sample into the SPR measurement device, d) detecting the presence of dengue virus antibodies in said sample. Hence, the present invention provides a new method of diagnosing dengue which has an excellent sensitivity and specificity and takes much less time to obtain the result than the methods known in the art.
