The present invention relates to an improved system and method for monitoring cadet in a military troop. The system comprises a metal military dog-tag having identification particulars belong to the cadet formed on the military dog-tag; an optical character recognition enabled device for scanning the identification particulars on the military dog-tag; and a database in communication with the optical character recognition enabled device for storing data scanned by the optical recognition device. The method comprises the steps of initiating an optical character enabled recognition device, scanning identification particulars of the cadet formed on a metal military dog-tag, processing data related to the cadet through a graphical user interface installed on the optical character enabled recognition device and transmitting the data into a database, and obtaining evaluation data of the cadet by operating the graphical user interface.
