Description
The present invention provides a formulation for use as medicament for treating obesity and diabetes mellitus. The said formulation consists of a combination of Betaglucan and Alpha-glucan polysaccharide obtained from Pleurotus sajor-caju with 75 to 85% by weight of Beta-glucan polysaccharide and 1 to 10% by weight of Alpha- glucan polysaccharide. The said formulation can serve as a potential antidiabetic and antiobesity agent.
