Description
Artificial marble is a man-made product which mimic to natural stone marble. It has received a great attention in building and construction industry due to its advantages of abundance raw materials, fabulous natural aesthetic design, recyclable and excellent mechanical properties. Artificial marble produced from a mixture of polymer resin and mineral fillers that is poured into mold to form any variety kinds of products and shapes. Wide range of application includes as floor tiles, wall tiles and as solid surface for kitchen and table countertops, sinks, bathtubs and bathroom vanities. In this invention, the used of mineral and industrial quarry waste has been introduced to substitute the imported materials. Development of artificial marble has lead to lower production cost by the use of cheap resources and the properties is comparable with the commercial products.
