This invention involves the utilisation of non-chemical retardant agent in the PCC manufacturing process. This remarkable technique is capable of controlling the size and shape of produced PCC without any additional chemical type retardant agent. Moreover, this invention has completely revolutionised the selection of retardant agent, which is non-chemical type material. The non-chemical retardant agent was added in the carbonation process to retard the speed of crystallization and to prevent agglomeration, thus produced PCC with smaller particle size and improved morphology. The retardant agent used in this technique is non-chemical and non-toxic to the environment and health. Furthermore, it is re-usable, durable and the waste produced from this technique is chemical-free. Thus, this helps reduce our Environmental Sciences footprint and save resources for future.
