A computer assisted method for real-time comprehensive parking management includes the steps of providing an electronic communication device installed with a parking management application for providing real-time parking space availability information, receiving information about parking space locations available in a vehicle parking area from a parking management server using the parking management application, reserving the available parking space location in the vehicle parking area using the parking management application and accessing the parking space location available in the vehicle parking area controlled by an automated vehicle identification and parking control system. The automated vehicle identification and parking control system communicates with the parking management server and the electronic communication device for entry and exit control and for managing payment and vehicle information.
