Highlights
After the pandemic of the COVID-19, preschoolers tend to learn and be able to catch up with everything they observe on the screen of their smartphones. This situation causes increasing difficulty for them to acquire knowledge via traditional way, through physical books. Due to the changing in their learning environment, digital technologies play a significant role in everyday life. Children begin interacting with digital devices at young ages. Using Unity 2021.3.20f1 in Interactive Pre-Maths, it will help to create the interactive teaching, learning and assessments to help preschoolers on early Mathematics. The application of software as a platform for them to learn is an initiative to increase the preschoolers critical thinking on how they can solve actual problems in real life through their smartphones. This project on implementing mathematics in an interactive way could also help the preschoolers in gaining insights and knowledge in mathematics joyfully. Interactive Pre-Maths. Interactive Teaching, Learning, and Assessment of Early Mathematics in Early Childhood Education. For our innovations, we developed an application namely Interactive Pre-Maths. This application is a combination of digital and physical worlds consists of interactive activity made in real time such as quizzes and learning, and accurate 3D identification of virtual and real objects. Our innovation needed user to point on their camera phone to the marker. We are implementing marker-based due to the easy implementation and how it impacts on children especially preschoolers. Using marker-based AR, preschoolers able to immerse themselves in both virtual and reality world in a more exciting way. Originality/Novelty: 1. Interactive and Augmented reality settings in learning Early Mathematics as the learning environments. 2. The activities developed in Interactive Pre-Maths determining the progression in learning mathematics and to direct the teaching practices.
