Ceramic balls made from local ceramic raw materials resources such as kaolin, silica sand and feldspar as fixed catalyst bed support and topping media for catalytic reactors in oil refining, petrochemical processing and natural gas treating. Ceramic balls made by the Minerals Research Centre are porcelain quality which had high strength, stable in extreme environments and low water absorption. These porcelain balls have demonstrated the fulfilment of the Universal Oil Product (UOP) specifications for catalyst bed supporting and topping media in the oil, petrochemical and natural gas reaction vessels or plant reactors.
