The present invention provides a method of extracting leech fat from any type of tropic leech especially hirudo genus, by using turmeric, a natural herb. The extraction is achieved by mixing a ratio of 10:1 leeches with turmeric powder by weight in a container for 15 to 20 minutes before the remains of the leeches are removed. The remaining fat samples or medium can then undergo purification process such as via the use of centrifuge to collect the fat components which contains bioactive ingredients. The bioactive ingredients are collagen, vitellin, vitellogenin, triglyceride, fatty acid, cholesterol, esterase, kininases, histamine, pheromone, bdellines, hyaluronidase, protease, lipase, trypsin, theromine, destabilase and kallikrein which can be used in cosmetics, toiletries, anti coagulations in surgery and medical treatment.
