Description
The present invention of BANALOP relates to a green banana peeler used for peeling the Nipah banana skin (Musa acuminata balbisiana). Manual process is laborious and time consuming and can damage the pulp if not handle correctly. The invention applies as an alternative method to the manually peeling process used by banana chips industries which uses only kitchen knife. It is believed to be able to increase the peeling rate for the purpose of banana chips processing in Malaysia. Besides, it is also safe to use and will not harm the pulp. The tool is designed to follow through the banana curved shape so that the user can cut the peel easily. The knife in the tool is design to only cut the peel and does not harm the pulp.
