MSPEX© is a mobile single-phase extruder especially developed to produce floating fish pellets. Since it is mobile and uses single-phase electrical supply, it can be located anywhere even at remote area without the need to have three-phase electrical supply. It is an energy saver which can reduce the operational costs up to 46.6% compared to a conventional three-phase extruder. Since it has a cooling water jacket, it can be operated continuously for more than 8 hours to produce 40-60 kilogram/hour of pelleted feed. The quality of the pellets produced is better than the pellets produced using a meat grinder. MSPEX© is very easy to use (user friendly) and safer compared to other commercial extruder machines available in the market. Easy to wash and clean MSPEX© since it can easily be disassembled without the need to switch it on. Workers simply need to pull out the screw and clean it using a plastic scrapper.
