The present disclosure relates to a floor trap system for removing moisture from a floor structure. The floor trap system inc1udes a rigid housing having a top surface , a top opening provided on.jhe topsurface and a bottom opening. The top opening provid~d on the .top surface extends towards the bottom opening defining a sidewall portion of the rigid housing. A number of elongated slots are provided on the sidewall portion for allowing flow of liquid into an interior of the rigid housing bounded by the sidewall portion. The floor trap system further includes an inner drain portion made from mositure absorbing materials and configured to position within the rigid housing for removing moisture from the mortar 1ayer. The rigid housing is placed in a mortar layer of the floor with an upper plate portion on the top of the inner drain portion in flush with a surface level of the floor to remove liquid from the surface ofthe floor and mositure from the mortar 1ayer. The opening at the upper plate portion on the top of the inner drain portion is covered using a lid having perforations . The bottom opening of the rigid housing is connected to an outlet for removing the liquid received from the surface of the floor received through the top opening and the mortar layer through the number of slots provided on the sidewall portion of the rigid housing.
